HOSA Success at SLC

Mount Airy Middle School and Mount Airy High School’s HOSA-Future Health Care Professionals (HOSA) Chapters recently attended the State Leadership Conference in Greensboro, North Carolina. Both chapters experienced great success thanks to the students’ hard work and dedication. Students and teams who finished in the top three in their category qualify for the International Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, this summer.

Of The Year Announcements Made

On Wednesday, April 2nd, schools in Mount Airy City Schools (MACS) announced their 2025-2026 Teachers of the Year and Employees of the Year, while the district named its Beginning Teacher (BT) of the Year, Bus Driver of the Year, Central Office Employee of the Year, Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher of the Year, Exceptional Children's (EC) Teacher of the Year, School Nutrition Employee of the Year and School Nutrition Manager of the Year.

Substitute Custodian

Mount Airy City Schools is seeking dependable and motivated individuals to serve as substitute custodians. This position is temporary and will provide custodial coverage during the extended absence of a regular staff custodian.

Martin Named School Nutrition Director

Mount Airy City Schools is pleased to announce that Mrs. Melissa A. Martin has been named School Nutrition Director. Martin will replace Celena Watson, who will retire on June 30th.
