Metal Detectors

This new measure is part of the broader work in ensuring the safety of attendees at school-sponsored events. The safety team will continue to evaluate and adjust processes and may change measures as needed throughout the sports season. The goal of this additional layer of security is to ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone in attendance.

Main Points:

  • All attendees will be required to pass through metal detectors before entering the stadium.
  • Visitors will need to enter through the main gate where tickets will be sold.
  • MACS K-8 students must be accompanied by an adult.
    • If the adult needs to purchase a ticket, the student and adult must use the main gate.
    • If the adult is a MACS pass holder, the student and adult can use the pass gate.
  • MAHS students, MACS staff, and season ticket holders will need to enter through the pass gate located between the football field and the baseball field.
  • Football gates will open at 6:00 pm for JV games and 5:30 pm for Varsity games.

Notes for Attendees:

  • Arrive early to allow time needed to go through the metal detectors.
  • Be prepared for the security check. Avoid bringing unnecessary items.
  • For bags, passing through the detector will complete the scan. If there is an issue we can use the wand and then move further. Leaving unnecessary items in your vehicle will keep this at a minimum.
  • To streamline the process, avoid prohibited items as listed in Policy 5027/7275
  • An officer will be present.

Thank you for your cooperation.
