Mrs. Abby Gallimore has landed herself in the top 18 finalists, from a pool of over 100,000 educators, in the state of North Carolina for the Burroughs Wellcome Fund North Carolina Teacher of the Year. She is one of two finalists for the 2025 Piedmont-Triad Region Teacher of the Year.
On November 12th, the Regional Teacher of the Year Selection team will visit Mount Airy High School as part of their decision process.
Last year, Mrs. Gallimore was named the Mount Airy High School Teacher of the Year, the Mount Airy City Schools Exceptional Children's Teacher of the Year and the Mount Airy City Schools Teacher of the Year.
