After receiving his award, Gallimore shared, “I want to thank NCASCD for such a prestigious award. As an educator, my goal is to create a classroom where students feel empowered, supported, and prepared for their future. Through AVID strategies, I strive to cultivate critical thinking, collaboration, and academic success, ensuring that every student has the tools to reach their full potential. This recognition is not just a reflection of my work but of the incredible students who inspire me every day and the colleagues who support and challenge me to grow. I am deeply grateful to those who nominated me (Dr. Sikes and Dr. Tyndall)—your belief in my work means the world, and I am honored to be part of such a dedicated educational community.”
