How many years have you worked in another career? I worked for two years in tourism in Romania.

Tell us about your family. Mother of 2 (Luca -10 and Laura 12 - both piano players, soccer players, and karate kids), wife of former Peace Corps volunteer, Rob Livengood, singer in a band ("Gypsy Laurel" - with Rob), former singer in the Romanian band "Leequid" and, fun fact, contestant in the 2000 Romanian Eurovision. I love music, dance, swimming, and bike riding. Our pets are Pancho, the orange cat, and Shadow, the black hound dog. In our free time we love to travel abroad, exploring new countries, and expanding our horizons. River tubing is a favorite summer pastime of my family.

What is your favorite part of the year and why? My favorite part of the year is...spring! I love to see nature revive, it gives us strength and positivity too! I also love Halloween, because we get to dress up and goof off as a family. I did not have that tradition growing up!

Finish this statement: I always wanted to teach, because I love languages and I want to share my love for languages with my students. Languages connect people, break barriers, create friendships, and new opportunities. Traveling is just one perk of it.

Ask your class or group of students to describe you using 3 adjectives. helpful, friendly, funny
