Stronger Connections Grant

The North Carolina Stronger Connections Grant was awarded to Mount Airy City Schools (MACS) on May 2, 2024. This multi-year federal grant resulted in $675,000 for the district to work toward its priorities, including supporting safe and healthy communities and student outcomes where the available resources are insufficient to meet the community's needs. As a small district, MACS will be able to positively impact all four schools through this competitive funding opportunity. We are extremely thankful for the opportunity to strengthen resources such as our district's social worker and school counselors. 

 

This grant funding will allow MACS to provide additional services as a school counselor, school social worker, and school resource officer. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity since it takes a village to serve our students, families, and community.
